Can anyone get covered?
You can be covered provided you are aged 18-69 and a UK resident (living at least 7 out of 12 months in the United Kingdom). This includes those currently employed as an offshore worker, seafarer or mariner, whose permanent residence remains in the UK.
There are no medical questions to answer – acceptance is guaranteed – and you are covered as long as you pay your monthly premium up until you reach the age of 70.
What does ‘guaranteed acceptance’ mean?
It means that as long as you meet the eligibility criteria – aged between 18 and 69 at the start date and are a UK resident – you will be accepted for cover.
Can my partner get covered?
Yes. If you wish to cover your partner, you need to select the ‘Joint’ option on the Instant Quote form above.
Your partner can be covered on your policy provided they are also aged 18-69 and a UK resident. ‘Partner’ means the person who you are married to, or the person with whom you have a civil partnership, or the person you have lived with as a couple, at the same address, for 3 months prior to the date you make a claim.
How many times can I claim on the hospitalisation benefit?
You can claim as many times as you need up to a maximum of 180 days. The hospitalisation must be the result of an accident causing injury to someone covered under the policy.
What happens if I take out cover and then change my mind?
You can cancel the policy within 30 days of the start date and we will refund any premium paid if no claim has been made. Following this, you may cancel the policy at any time but no refund of premium will be paid. You can cancel by writing, emailing or calling a member of our Customer Services team:

What’s covered
- £150,000 cash payout if you die as the result of an accident
- £300 per day if you’re hospitalised for more than 24 hours due to an accident (up to 180 days total)
- Cover increases by 5% each year, up to £200,000 and £400/day
- You’re covered worldwide, 24/7, in and out of work

What’s not covered
- Death or hospitalisation from natural causes, illness, or suicide
- Injuries caused by alcohol, illegal drugs, or reckless acts
- Accidents while taking part in illegal activities or armed forces duties
- Injuries from flying (except on commercial airlines)
- Participation in dangerous activities like diving, mountaineering, or motorcycling
- Death must occur within 12 months of the accident, and injury within 90 days

- I am permanently resident in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
- I will be covered for accidental death only and not for death which is caused by sickness, disease or any natural cause.
- I will be covered if I am admitted to hospital as an inpatient for more than 24 hours, as the result of an accident (but not as the result of sickness or any natural cause).
- Each year the benefits and premiums under my cover will be increased by 5% until the maximum benefits are reached – £200,000 for the Accidental Death benefit and £400 per night for the Accident Hospitalisation benefit.
- I am happy to proceed based on the information that has been provided to me on the website. In particular, the Policy Docs section containing the Policy Wording and Insurance Product Information Document .
- I confirm that I have a need for financial protection in the event of my death or hospitalisation, as the result of an accident and the benefit level provided in this quote meets my needs for this type of cover.
- I understand that I have not received any advice or personal recommendation about the suitability of this Accident Protection Plan.
